I was born in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida into a military family, and as soon as my parents were through serving we moved to Michigan to live near my grandparents. While in Michigan I started to grow an interest for music. Though I was only four years old, I had many cassettes I jammed out to. A few years later we moved to Oklahoma where I was introduced to a mass variety of different genres and styles of music. I became fascinated with the drums and even picked up the snare for my 5th grade music class.
One Christmas, my mother begged my father to death to get her an acoustic guitar. Christmas came around and there it was. Although my mother had wanted it so much, she never even touched it. On summer break that year I decided to play it...I was bored out of my mind. I started teaching myself the basics and learned songs I liked at the time. By the time I was in high school, I decided I was ready to play in a band. I came to an audition and played my heart out, but after little debate the band told me I wasn't good enough. This devastated me so I spent every ounce of free time perfecting my style of playing. I would push myself to learn harder and harder songs and enforced a type of training that was both meticulous and stressful, but in the end it made my playing more solid than the proverbial brick shit house.
The time had come for me to try out for another band, and as luck would have it, I had been approached for an audition. I was ecstatic but nervous at the same time. I tried out, and although my playing was on the right path, my personality was that of a doofus. Only the bassist wanted me to stay and he eventually talked the rest of the guys into keeping me. After 4 years, countless shows with national acts, endorsements and more bottles of booze than you can wave a stick at, it was time to lay the beast to rest. During my time in the band my stage presence along with my writing skills excelled tremendously. There's nothing better than writing music that moves people. I heard Siva was looking for a rhythm guitarist and figured I'd be a perfect match for the group. Since joining the band, the fans have been nothing but amazing. What can I say... They're Addicted!
I plow the farm with Ibanez guitars, Peavey and Crate amps, Sennheiser wireless technologies, and D'Addario Strings.
